The Emerging Leaders Program for the Not-for-Profit Sector

In 2016, AcademyGlobal in conjunction with leading academics from the University of Sydney and the University of Technology, Sydney ran for the fourth time ‘The Emerging Leaders Program for the NFP Sector’. Positions are offered on a fully funded and half- funded Scholarship basis.

This 5- day intensive executive program provides best practice knowledge and skills across leadership and communication, fund raising, project management, finance and volunteer management practices. The program is tailored to the needs of current and future leaders within the NFP Sector. A major aim of this program is to ensure participants are able to immediately apply key learnings back in the workplace, thus enabling demonstrated value is added to their organisations following the course.

In 2016, participants in the ELP came from all over Australia and included executives from 121 Care, Beehive Industries, Brightwater Care Group, Centenary Institute, Children’s Cancer Institute, Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia Australia, Leukaemia Foundation, Mater Foundation, MS Research, PCYC (NSW), Pluslife, Scope VIC, Starlight Children’s Foundation, Volunteers to Assist Children with Disabilities and Youngcare.

From its early beginnings in 1956, employing seven people with a disability, they have grown to become a leader in the disability field.
