About this event
Pioneered by Japanese firms in 1950’s, Just-in-Time (JIT) strategies came to dominate global manufacturing industries however, the Covid-19 pandemic revealed major limitations of JIT supply chain strategy. From rising fuel prices to global supply shortages, much of the blame falls to JIT philosophy, thus bringing the topic to attention. The Financial Times has some blunt advise – “Just-in-Time planning has to give way for Just-in-case”. The question is with the advent of covid-19 pandemic is the long term and dominant JIT strategy now coming to an end?
Participants will be awarded Continuous Professional Development (CPD) accredited by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Australia (CILTA) and also Certificate of Attendance from AcademyGlobal
